The Contemporary Craft Festival 2017 was fabulous, and it was both very enjoyable and rewarding to take part in. It was extremely well organised and attended throughout, with so much to see and do – the exhibitors’ stands, children’s activities marquee and craft demonstrations all looked amazing – and sales and new contacts with galleries were excellent. Many many thanks.

My favourite show of the year. So well organised, with so much consideration for the exhibitors as well as the customers. The organisers couldn’t be more helpful. There is so much to do for adults and children alike. Apart from having plenty of visitors, sales and gallery contacts, it is great fun to take part! Many thanks to Sarah and her team!

This has been one of my favourite shows to do. The standard of makers was incredibly high and diverse and the customers were all very friendly and seemed to love the show as much as I did. The event was very well organised and a pleasure from start to finish. Thank you all very much

such a great show to take part in, it was very well organised from start to finish with an excellent standard of work. Its always good to exhibit somewhere that the visiting public are informed about hand-made craft and appreciate the time and skill that has gone into producing craft objects

This has been a great show for me. It was so well organised and very busy. Despite the weather, customers were there in big numbers and very interested in the making process. The spectrum of work on show was high quality and eclectic. I hope to be taking part again next year.

After hearing so much positive feedback about this show and researching into it when I was at university it was a place that I wanted to showcase in and experience for myself. Being selected for the StartUP section was unexpected but such an amazing opportunity. The show was full of such an array of talented crafts people who are there to socialise with, gain advice from and admire. The organisers manage to bring together an amazing community throughout the weekend which makes it such an enjoyable experience. The amount of people I was able to meet and share my work with was one of the highest I have experienced so far and introduced me to a successful platform to sell my work as well as meet possible future customers and stockists. As a new maker this is only the second craft fair I have done and it has definitely set the standard very high! I would definitely recommend the show to other makers no matter how different and diverse your work is, there seems to be an admirer for everything! I hope I get the opportunity to show again in the future.

This was a fabulous event to take part in. I felt as if nothing was too much trouble and the makers right through to the parking and security staff were all working together to make everything run smoothly. The addition of a behind the scenes makers cafe was inspired as queues were often long in the arena. It ran like a well oiled machine and as my first major event it is going to be hard to match it elsewhere. All my newbie ‘what ifs’ scenarios were solved by ample information and guidance.

    Thoroughly enjoyable event.

Very, very well organised, well thought-out show. Everything works smoothly, everyone involved in organising the show is very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The organisers also do everything they can to make the exhibitors feel like a community – laying on a ceilidh, an evening opening just for exhibitors, and yoga! The visitors are numerous, well-informed and engaged. Brilliant.

I can only repeat what others have said. Fantastic event, best of the year for me (Christmas not really being included as it’s obviously a different ball game!). Great sales, wholesale contacts, very easy set up and breakdown – access is very close to stands. Lovely atmosphere, very high standard of work, loads to do for visitors, decorations is fun and lively, exhibitors are well valued and helped at every stage by the organisers. Couldn’t recommend enough.

This was my first craft fair as a trader and I was lucky enough to get in the Start Up section which is heavily subsidised. It was a brilliant experience because of the loyal and every growing base of visitors who come to buy interesting work and because everything runs smoothly because of the great organisational skills and workforce behind it all. I couldn’t recommend it more!! Just hope I get in next year!!

This was my first big design show so I was a little nervous, but I needn’t have been. It was very well organised in the lead up with all the marketing, during the show and afterwards with the strike down. I felt supported and knew I could ask anyone for help if required. I felt privileged to be part of this high quality fair. Every visitor I spoke to enjoyed the atmosphere and the buzz. I would recommend the Contemporary Craft Fair to every aspiring maker!
