    Terrible.

My stand was in a poor position on a steep slope where the rail kept sliding downhill to the next stand. I barely got £200 for 3 days- left after 3 days as so bad- will not come again and will share my poor experience with other potential stall holders

Event was too spread out and the new area past the food court was poorly signposted so some people did not even find us. Feel it has got too big and as the early marquees got so crowded people were giving up before reaching us or had already spent up by the time they reached us. Many people seemed disinclined to spend – had one customer who took 20 minutes to choose the colour of a £5 crystal angel. Was in one of the new marquees ( on an incredible slope) and speaking with other traders everyone in our area was struggling. Took around £700 over 4 day’s. My share of the stand cost around £380. Take out the cost of materials, petrol and time and it was not really worth doing it.

Great event for us and always is. The food tent was badly signposted though. And folk had lots of problems with parking / general access.

The signage could of been a lot better , being towards the front we were ok although I heard traders in the other 3 or 4 marquees were not doing well. The weather on Saturday didn’t help as punters wanted to be in the marquee keeping dry but you cant blame the organiser for that. The flow of punters needs thinking about

This was my 2nd visit to the show and I did ok. Saturday being my worst day as not many visitors appeared to find our marquee my friend who was in the marquee next to the mulled wine stand said they were really busy and that they stopped people going in her marquee…. oh if only! The price of the stand plus hotel for 4 nights plus evening meals and petrol I’m really not too sure it’s worth all the effort. Our marquee was on a huge slope too so I found my stand struggled to cope with that, on the whole I love the show but I do think the organisers could have done more with handing out maps of the new layout to the public rather than lists of the exhibitors!! And lots of signage not just one tiddly board no one saw Plus I paid for a heated marquee on Friday our heater went off at 3pm and it was freezing! Serving in a coat really isn’t a good look.

Not sure if I’ll be back next year even though I love the show

This was our fourth year trading at this event and the last!!!! The food marquee was so out of the way people did not know it was there, there was no signage to point out where it was. When people did eventually find it it was so crowded People could not stop to look properly, they were just herding through it was quite dangerous. There were too many of the same kinds of stalls that were placed more or less next to each other instead of being spread out. Our takings were half what we took last year and I think it was due to the fact as I said before people couldn’t find us.

Our first time here and it will be our last. People who came to the foodhall were just not interested and walked past like sheep. Very poor takings and not worth the effort. Too many of the same products and not enough signage to mention the foodhall. I was told 17,000 people attend this show – we took more on the Thursday slipping down each day after. Disaster.

I’ve been exhibiting at this event for five years and I always do very well, as do the neighbouring stands. However, I am in the Old Riding School, which is right in the thick of things. I can appreciate that exhibitors in the food area may have had a different experience as their marquees were tucked away in what is usually Hatfield House’s car park. Its a bit of a trek up there, especially if its raining. My advice to potential exhibitors would be to try and get a stall in either the Old Palace, the marquee directly in front of it, or in the Old Riding School.
