Excellent show, v well organised and a credit to the legacy of the CLA Game Fair. Respectable numbers thru the gate and certainly the calibre of customer who appreciates traditional British craftsmanship. Venue at Hatfield House easily accessible for traders (some rain and mud made for a few trivial complications) and public all seemed in good spirits. Definitely recommend.

The layout was very bad with very Avenue signs, too many cross aisles. The organisers are making the same mistake as the CLA, it is too big. The Game Fair should be held in the Midlands such as Ragley and not in the Home Counties

Been attending the Game fair since 2010 – and never had a bad one (Yet!) BUT the layout, signage and traffic control of this one was terrible , I know Counrtyfile (contract welshing barstewards) have nicked Blenheim , and this the 1st time at Hatfield but the far end of totally food was only getting customers that had reached the end of the Gunmakers rows , there was no signage off the metal road,

stand setup was also poor with the internal walls pushed back , giving customers more cover BUT pushing displays back into shadow and reducing our back-of-house area,

Totally food – FAR TOO MUCH REPETITION!

Totally food wasn’t even marked as totally food on the layout map!

the impression it gives is that the Catering trailers are being protected at the expense of Totally food

The traffic stewards were totally absent at breakdown , when the much-vaunted one-way system only applied to the outer road , van ans caravan were being tractor’d on to the metal road at the end of Manufacturers village to be confronted by vans coming IN , expected them to get off the road and risk getting stuck again,

Love the show , love attending , Management ?- F minus, must try harder,

Such a disappointment. The layout was bad, the map was confusing, the organisation poor and consequently our stand saw less than a 100 people in total. We’ve complained formally and will probably consider this our last event with them. Shame, had a lot of potential.

On a plus side, the numbers seemed healthy, and the NFU exhibitors bbq on Thursday was excellent.

All shows need good exhibitors to make it successful, we need looking after, and our concerns noting and correcting to the best of the organisers ability. I hope our pleas do not fall on deaf ears as in the past. Potentially it can be a great show again, but unless our concerns are met, the quality of exhibitors will diminish…

The signage was terrible, and the layout confusing – I had 12 phone calls from customers on Friday alone, asking where I was because I was not in my usual row and they couldn’t find my stand. Apparently there is no Bond St any more, with exhibitors being mixed higgledy piggledy around the show. All this does is confuse people so they can’t find anything! We have exhibited at the game fair for more than 35 years, without missing one and this year was not as successful as it should have been. The organisers told us that 70% of visitors were in the AB bracket – I would put that at more like 20% – Without the CLA members, or similar the game fair will never be as successful as it used to be.

The organisers are economical with the truth, and I worry that they are only interested in getting the stand money from exhibitors, with no concern for how well we do, if so this is very short sighted as the quality stands will not return. I hope they will learn from their mistakes and improve things for next year or I fear they will go the same way as the CLA.

Not our best game fair! as other reviewers have said, the layout and organisation was pretty poor and some classic mistakes made in positioning of the prime retail sites. Placing large multi business marquees along side a wood with only a small very muddy track one side and an exhibitors van park the other probably cut our footfall by about 90% . None of the exhibitor in our tent did much business, should be better next year as Ragley is a tried and tested site!
