The RHS is an excellent event and the highlight in our calender . It’s a honor and a privilege to participate in the showcase agricultural event in the country.

We had stands in Scotlands Larder Live and Cottage Industries marquee. Both were excellent.

1st time we have been to Highland Show with Agricultural Machinery, we got a cancelled stand, not to bad on the enquiry side, felt that we were maybe 2 avenue’s to far away from rest of machinery guys, otherwise cannot complain, definitely want to go back next year with a bigger stand

Exhibited in the cottage industries/shop for something different marquee. Good location and pleased with the footfall. Ladies toilets nearby needed some attention. Will look forward to exhibiting again next year.

Exhibited for the second year at the RHS in the excellent 3D2D Craft, Art and Design Marquee. My comments – randomly organised are thus (and bear in mind I am an event manager so a bit picky!).
    1. Toilets didn’t seem to have a permanent attendant as per last year so a bit hit and miss as to hand towels and cleanliness at times.
    2. A more varied programme for the stage nearby would be good as it is a bit repetitive day in day out.
    3. There was some confusion as to whether we needed hi-vis waistcoats for the break-down which is more chaotic than the set up yet no-one was wearing them.
    4. For the breakdown, the trade entrance needs more prominent signage particularly when you turn into the site as there was none to be seen and people were going all over the place.
    5. A suggestion to the food traders – issue trader-rate discount passes (or on production of a wristband or exhibitor ticket) and you would get more business from exhibitors.
    6. Thanks to all the staff who work at the RHS and put up with us grumpy traders when we are very weary.

First time I have exhibited and was very disappointed in the footfall I’m the marquee next to shopping arcade and what made it worse was that I was next to some very aggressive demonstrators of a face product who literally blocked the aisles pouncing on ladies to try their products they were very hard sales people and I didn’t think that sort of business was suitable for this kind of event they should have had their own demonstration tent and not ruined it for other traders in the marquee and they wouldn’t take no for an answer.
I think that impacted on the sales of all the traders that were near their stand and the fact they also had 2 or 3 more stand dotted around customers were actively avoiding them and walking away really not ideal.

wouldve given 5 stars but for the huge pile of litter that was dumped by Binns employees who assumed the area behind our stand in Ave O ( Heart of England) was spare ground when in fact it was ground we paid for and was promised it would be moved by 830pm on Saturday night but in fact wasnt removed until 11pm and had been piled high since 1 pm creating a health hazard as it was mostly waste food
this has never been a problem in the past 4 years of exhibiting so I assume the contracter ( Binns ) had not recognised the problem of how to remove litter during show hours whereas previous contractors had consistently removed litter from the bins during the show hours
Also I noticed the bins that Binns provided had no lids on them so therefore the wind blew the litter out of the bins and the seagulls had a great time but they beca,me adanger swooping on the public
